Amber in Disney Lorcana
The healing-tempo ink. Amber wins lore races by stacking small character bodies, healing damage off them, and chaining Songs to extend turns.
Core identity
Songs and Friend characters. Amber leans on the Song mechanic — Actions with the Singer keyword that qualifying characters cast for free — to swing tempo without spending ink.

Amber/Steel "Songbook"
Plays Steel's defensive bodies as singer enablers; uses Steel's removal to clear blockers while Amber refills the board.
Amber/Amethyst "Ramping Healer"
Amethyst's bouncing tricks rescue Amber bodies from removal and reset opponent boards while you out-heal them.
Mono-Amber Lore Rush
Niche but viable. Ten 1-cost questers, every Song, every healer. Bet on speed.

Amber / Steel
Most beginner-friendly pair. Amber's board, Steel's removal — covers the obvious holes.
Amber / Amethyst
Best for evasion-heavy meta. Amethyst's reactive tools protect Amber's wide boards.
Amber / Sapphire
Slower setup; works in tournament metas where you have ink to spare.
Amber / Ruby
Fights itself — Amber wants to grind, Ruby wants to rush. Pick a plan.
Amber / Emerald
Both inks compete for similar slots. Most lists struggle to find a coherent identity.
For new players
If you're new to Lorcana, start with Amber/Steel. Amber teaches you board management and song timing; Steel teaches you removal and combat math. Almost every starter deck has used this pair at some point.
Meta position
Amber has been a top-three ink in nearly every Lorcana meta since launch. Even when its raw power level dips, the inkable Song package keeps it relevant.
