Free Lorcana Scanner Apps: What to Check Before Downloading
A free download tells you how much it costs to install an app, not how much a full collection workflow costs. Before sorting a large binder, check the scanning allowance, collection capacity, pricing access, and export options in the current version.
Quick take
- LanaKit is free to download and has subscription features.
- Check what happens when your collection grows or your scanning allowance is reached.
- The LanaKit web catalog and set checklists are available without an app subscription.
Define what needs to stay free
Looking up one card, cataloging a binder, and scanning hundreds of cards at a time are different needs. Write down the workflow you expect to repeat. Include sorting, correcting a match, adding a foil quantity, and getting your records back out. A scanner can be convenient even when the surrounding collection workflow is not the one you need.
What LanaKit offers
You can browse cards and printable set checklists on this website. The iPhone app is a free download with in-app subscriptions for continued scanning and advanced collection, pricing, and export features. Available plans, renewal terms, and any trial eligibility are displayed before purchase. We do not describe LanaKit as an unlimited free scanner.
Compare alternatives on equal terms
Dreamborn advertises a scanning companion app alongside its web collection and deck tools. Lorcery advertises a scanner with collection features. Check current access in each product instead of assuming every feature mentioned on a marketing page is included at no cost. A spreadsheet plus a web catalog may be enough when you only need occasional manual entry.
Before starting a trial or subscription
Read the billing period and total charge, not only a weekly equivalent. Check whether an introductory offer renews automatically and how to cancel with the platform. Test a small export and a few difficult-to-identify cards while evaluating the app. Keep your existing collection backup until you are satisfied.
