Rarity

Rarest Lorcana Cards: Iconic, Enchanted & Special Printings

The standard Lorcana rarity ladder now includes Iconic above Enchanted, with Epic between Legendary and Enchanted. Older six-tier guides miss those additions. Promotional and event printings require a separate look at distribution.

Quick take

  • Fabled added Epic and Iconic to the standard rarity ladder.
  • Rarity labels are not published numeric pull odds.
  • A scarce printing is not automatically an expensive printing.

Know the current ladder

From Common to Iconic, the eight standard tiers are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Legendary, Epic, Enchanted, and Iconic. Ravensburger introduced the two newer tiers with Fabled. That ordering does not tell you an exact probability for a particular card in a booster.

Treat promos as a separate research task

For an event or promotional card, identify the specific issue and how it was distributed. A low grading-population count is not the number printed. Do not infer a fixed print run or a permanent supply limit without a reliable publication.

Find the actual printing

Use the catalog’s Iconic, Enchanted, and Special directories to inspect cards. Special is a source-data category outside the standard eight-tier order, not a new booster rarity.

Keep scarcity and price separate

A character, artwork, or playable effect can create demand independently of rarity. If your aim is a favorite-character collection, define the printings you want before chasing a market ranking. If comparing prices, use equivalent copies and date the evidence.
